PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) — The Pittsburgh Penguins made a flurry of roster moves and designation changes on Thursday.
First, defenseman Kevin Czuczman was recalled "on an emergency basis."
Second, forward Sam Lafferty was upgraded to the roster from the taxi squad.
Those were the two biggest moves.
Interim general manager Patrik Allvin announced those two moves along with forwards Anthony Angello and Frederick Gaudreau and defensemen Will Reilly and Yannick Weber being added to the taxi squad.
Zach Aston-Reese was also added to the long-term injured reserve list, a move that has been backdated to Jan. 13.
Along with Aston-Reese, Juuso Riikola and Evan Rodrigues were also put on the long-term IR list, and they were backdated to Jan. 19 and Jan. 24, respectively.
Marcus Pettersson was added to the regular injured reserve list.
Forward Drew O'Connor, who had been an emergency recall, was changed to a regular recall.
