PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) — General manager Ron Hextall announced Thursday that the Penguins had recalled forward Frederick Gaudreau off of the taxi squad.
In other roster changes, the Penguins also placed forward Jared McCann on injured reserve and backdated the move to February 6.
Now in his seventh season, Gaudreau spent the first six within the Nashville Predators organization, mostly with the American Hockey League Milwaukee Admirals.
Gaudreau has played in 280 career AHL games, and in that span, he logged 77 goals and 95 assists in 42 games.
Gaudreau also played in 84 games in the NHL, all with the Predators.
The Penguins' next game is on Thursday night against the New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum.
The puck drops at 7 p.m.
