
PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Pitt basketball continues to build on its front court. The Panthers getting a verbal commitment from Papa amadou Kante from the South Kent School in Connecticut. He originally committed to Michigan.
The 6’10” center announced on Twitter he chose Pitt after deciding on April 18 to decommit from the Juwan Howard and the Wolverines. Originally the four-star had offers from several other schools including Kansas, Maryland, Iowa, Illinois, Syracuse, Miami, Rutgers, TCU, Providence and Tennessee. He had signed a letter of intent with Michigan on November 10. 247 Sports says the 4-star forward has broad shoulders and can be a dominant rebounder and active shot-blocker.
Kante joins a front court with sophomores Guillermo and Jorge Diaz Graham and junior Federiko Federiko.
