PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – He nor the university have confirmed, but a tweet on Thursday morning by the Reese's Senior Bowl that linebacker SirVocea Dennis has accepted a bid to play in their game in January. That would obviously mean he is leaving Pitt with eligibility still left.
The 6'1" senior from Syracuse named First Team All-ACC and Third Team All-American by Pro Football Focus. A semifinalist for the Butkus Award, Dennis led the team in tackles with 94. He was second with 12 tackles for loss, seven sacks and two forced fumbles. Dennis had at least a half tackle for loss in every game but one in 2022
A captain this season, Dennis started his career as an outside linebacker, but moved inside due to need. He played 42 career games at Pitt with 233 tackles, 36 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, five passes defended, a pair of interceptions and forced fumbles, a kick block and scored a huge touchdown in the upset win over Clemson in 2021.
Calijah Kancey announced he is entering the draft and DL John Morgan and TE Kai Wright are transferring. The Panthers are awaiting decisions for others with bowl practices starting soon and the Sun Bowl in El Paso on December 30.
