The Steelers 2022 first-round pick ended up leaving the game with a rib injury following a hit by Cowboys All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons with the Eagles up 24-7. He was filling in for starter Jalen Hurts who was out due to concussion. Philly would win the game 41-7 and the NFC East as tailback Saquon Barkley would pass the 2,000 yard rushing mark.
Pickett played in a majority of the last game after Hurts went down with the injury. He was 14-24 for 143 yards with a touchdown, an interception and a fumble against Washington.
14-10 in two seasons as a Steelers starter, Pickett completed 62.3% of his passes for 4,622 yards with 14 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. An Eagles fan growing up as a kid, Pickett had requested a trade after the Steelers picked up quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields in March.
