PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) The NCAA is set to hand out their most prestigious award for the 2021 season and one of the candidates hails from the University of Pittsburgh.

Pitt Panthers quarterback Kenny Pickett has already been awarded the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, but now he awaits to see if he has won the 2021 Heisman Award.
Pickett is up as a Heisman finalist along with quarterbacks Bryce Young of Alabama, C.J. Stroud of Ohio State, and edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson of Michigan.
The ceremony is on Saturday night on ESPN.
Regardless of Heisman outcome, the Panthers have already won the ACC Championship and are set to battle in the Peach Bowl.
Pickett is also a finalist for the Maxwell Award, Senior CLASS Award, and the Walter Camp Award.
Pickett was already named first team All-American.
If Pickett is awarded the Heisman, he will become just the second Panther to ever win the award.
Pro and College Football Hall of Famer Tony Dorsett won it after his senior year in 1976.
