PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – The linebacker corps depleted by graduation and transfers, Pitt added a second transfer on Monday.

Already bringing in Shayne Simon from Notre Dame early enough for Spring football.  The Panthers now adding Missouri State starting linebacker Tylar Wiltz.


The 6'1" senior is coming off a big third season at Missouri State with 106 overall tackles (51 solo), 14.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. Wiltz forced four fumbles with three passes defended and three interceptions.  He had a career-high 16 tackles against Youngstown State in 2021.  Wiltz named Second-Team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference and Third-Team FCS All-American.

The Louisiana native attended a community college before enrolling at Missouri State with no Division 1 college interest coming out of high school.
