On Tuesday night, the Panther dropped their first game of the season to The Citadel 78-63 at the Petersen Events Center.

On Wednesday afternoon, the program’s only recruit for the 2022-23 season withdrew his commitment to Pitt.

In a statement posted on social media Judah Mintz said, “After careful consideration and prayer I have decided to reopen my recruitment. This was not in any way an easy decision to make but it is again, what I believe is best for myself moving forward."

Mintz is considered a four-star recruit out of Oak Hill Academy in Virginia.

With the 6-3, 165 lbs. guard withdrawing, the Panthers don’t currently have any recruits for next season.

To make matters worse, the Panthers lost two of their starters recently.
