PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Losing senior transfer Damarco Minor, who is out of eligibility and to a lessor-extent from a ball-handling standpoint Omari Witherspoon and Brandin Cummings, Pitt was in search of an experienced point guard. They found one from their biggest ACC rival.
Reports the Panthers landed 6’3”, 185 pound rising senior guard Naithan George to an expanding roster.
George tied his career-high last year against the Panthers with 26 points in what turned out to be a Pitt overtime win, playing 40 minutes in the game. In the earlier matchup, George had 11 assists.
The Toronto, Ontario native averaged 10.9 points, shooting 41% from the field, 29% from three, 83% free throws, 3.0 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game in 2025-26. He led the ACC with six double-digit assist games and was fifth in overall assists.
An Honorable Mention All-ACC as a sophomore at Georgia Tech, he had the fifth-highest single-season assist total in Yellow Jackets history with 221. Between his freshman and sophomore seasons in Atlanta he started 62 consecutive games.
