After their victory over West Virginia in the Backyard Brawl, the Pitt Panthers remain at No. 17 in the NCAA.

The Panthers won 38-31 over the Mountaineers at Acrisure Stadium and that wasn’t enough to move up the rankings.

Their second opponent, however, did find their way into the top 25.

Tennessee defeated Ball State 59-10 in their opening game and that was enough for the AP to place them as the No. 24 team in the nation.

It’ll be a top 25 matchup when No. 17 Pitt and No. 24 Tennessee meet at Acrisure Stadium.

The game will also be featured on national television as ABC will air the game at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Johnny Majors Classic will be Pitt’s second straight game on national television.
