PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – The Panthers didn't get a first round bye, but did make their fifth straight NCAA women's volleyball tournament. The Panthers will play Long Island, Wednesday, April 14 at 10:30p.

Pitt closed out a perfect spring season sweeping Virginia Tech on Friday.  Panthers finished the regular season 16-4 overall, 14-4 in the ACC.  Seniors Kayla Lund, 275, and Chinaza Ndee, 234, lead the team in kills.  Sophomore Lexis Akeo and senior Kylee Levers, Chartiers-Houston HS, are one-two in assists.

Panthers have wins against five ranked teams this year and lost one set in their last five matches combined.

Long Island won the NEC as Sacred Heart had to forfeit the championship match due to COVID-19.  Sharks were 8-5 on the season, winning 3 of their last 4 matches.
