Pitt and West Virginia will once again match up on the hardwood during the 2023-24 season.
The 190th Backyard Brawl will take place on December 6, 2023 in Morgantown.
The series is the most common matchup for both programs, dating back to 1906.
West Virginia leads the all-time series, 101-88, including an 81-56 victory over the Panthers in November at the Petersen Events Center. Both teams went on to qualify for the NCAA Tournament.
Pitt, led by ACC Coach of the Year Jeff Capel, returns second-team All-ACC forward Blake Hinson, as well as starting forward Federiko Federiko. The Panthers most recently added Rhode Island transfer Ishmael Leggett and have a trio of recent top 100 recruits scheduled to make their debuts at Pitt this season.
The Mountaineers return Pittsburgh native Tre Mitchell and recently added four transfers, including Syracuse center Jesse Edwards.
