The Steelers have their top two quarterbacks (Russell Wilson and Justin Fields) going into Training Camp when the team reports to Latrobe on Wednesday, but they do have a spot after fourth-string QB John Rhys Plumlee was picked in the UFL Draft.
According to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson, the Steelers are reportedly bringing in former Pitt quarterback Ben DiNucci for a workout.
The 27-year-old DiNucci was a star at Pine Richland before going to Pitt.
After losing the starting job to Kenny Pickett, DiNucci transferred to James Madison University after his sophomore year.
DiNucci was then taken by the Dallas Cowboys in the 7th round of the 2020 draft.
He played in three games, starting in one for the Cowboys, going 0-1, completing 23 passes out of 43 attempts for 219 yards.
DiNucci played in the XFX in 2023 before signing with the Denver Broncos practice squad last season.
