Pitt wide receiver's coach leaving for NFL job

pitt football

PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) For the second straight month Pitt Football is losing another coach, this time to the NFL.

Wide receiver's coach Chris Beatty is taking a job in the same position with the Los Angeles Chargers.

The job is going to be filled by head coach Pat Narduzzi.

Beatty has spent two seasons with the Panthers and became an impressive developer of talent in receivers.

Not only a receiver's coach, Beatty was an important recruiter with Pitt.

Thanks to Beatty's connections with Virginia, Pitt's 2021 recruiting class featured four of the that state's top 20 prospects.

Beatty and current Chargers head coach Brandon Staley worked together with Northern Illinois in 2007.

It is up to Narduzzi to fill the position of wide receiver's coach as well as the space left by Beatty in the recruiting field.
