PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Pens forward Bryan Rust joined an elite group on Sunday as the Pens played the two-time defending champion Florida Panthers.
Rust’s assist on Sidney Crosby’s goal gave Rust the 500th point of his career, putting him 10th on the Pens all-time points list, tied with Syl Apps. A third-round pick in 2010, the 33-year-old Rust is a two-time Stanley Cup champion and has 128 points in his last two seasons.
Kevin Stevens is in ninth place with 555 points.
