The Penguins are getting back their captain Wednesday night in an all-important game against a division rival.
Sidney Crosby will be on the ice for the Penguins when they play the Hurricanes in Carolina at 7 p.m.
Crosby has been out since he suffered a lower-body injury, a month to the day, during the Winter Olympics.
The Penguins put Crosby on injured reserve on February 25.
Evgeni Malkin, who was suspended five games for slashing Buffalo defenseman Rasmus Dahlin, returned in the last game against the Avalanche, scoring twice.
The Penguins are seven points behind the first-place Hurricanes and are tied with the Islanders with 83 points.
