Opening Night for the Red Wings has been pushed back an hour.
To minimize the overlap with Game 4 of the ALDS between the Tigers and Guardians at Comerica Park with first pitch scheduled for 6:08 p.m., the Red Wings' season-opener against the Penguins at Little Caesars Arena will now start at 8 p.m. instead of 7.
With the traffic expected to be heavy in downtown Detroit, the Red Wings are encouraging fans to arrive early and to reserve parking in advance at Olympia Parking locations by visiting ParkWhiz.com.
Bars and restaurants accessible from outside Little Caesars Arena will be open to the public before both games, with Mike’s Pizza Bar, The Mixing Board and PointsBet Sports Bar opening at 3:30 p.m.
The Chevrolet Plaza and the Budweiser Biergarten will open for Fan Fest at 4:30 p.m.
Doors to Little Caesars Arena for ticketed fans will open at 5:00 p.m.
