Penguins new part-owner, LeBron James sports Pens jersey as game day outfit

LeBron James

PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) Earlier this month, the Pittsburgh Penguins were sold to the Fenway Sports Group (FSG) become new majority owners of the team.

While FSG is a large conglomerate of people, one of their newer investors is basketball and movie superstar LeBron James.

He may not be super involved in the day-to-day happenings of FSG, but the Ohio native is a name involved in their company.

With James' involvement in FSG and their recent purchase of the Penguins, that technically makes him a part owner of the team.

A wild though that the Penguins are part owned by one of the greatest players in multiple sports, but part-owner James shows his support.

With his Los Angeles Lakers team, James was spotted on his way to a game in Dallas wearing a Pittsburgh Penguins jersey.

James, a Penguins part-owner, may not be involved in hockey operations or on-ice decisions, but he knows to show his support.

Pens fans should love seeing their new part owner showing support.

The only thing that may have made this image better is if James was wearing the new Penguins third jersey.

No matter the jersey, there's a Penguins crest and the teams and fans love what they see.
