A “new” Penguins jersey is available for fans of the early days of the organization.

Adidas has just revealed a new line of “Team Classics” sweaters and Pittsburgh’s first-ever away jersey in franchise history, from 1967, is part of the collection.
The light blue jersey features the word “Pittsburgh” in diagonal letters. They are the inspiration behind the early 1990s black and gold version and recently updated 3rd jersey.
There are no plans for the team to wear these on the ice for a game at this time.
The “Team Classics” Pens jersey is made out of recycled materials and goes for $150 on Adidas’ website.
The Penguins team colors were blue and white until 1980 when the Penguins joined the Pirates and Penguins, using black and gold as their team colors.
Other vintage jerseys in the collection include the Tampa Bay Lightning, San Jose Sharks, Los Angeles Kings along with the now defunct California Seals and Quebec Nordiques.
