Season opens at PPG Paints Arena on Tuesday, October 10 at 8p against the Chicago Blackhawks. After a first road game at the Capitals on Friday the 13th, back home against Calgary on Saturday. Some games of note for the 2023-24 season:
· Halloween Eve hosting Anaheim on October 30
· Stanley Cup champion Las Vegas on November 19
· Thanksgiving Eve traditional game against the Rangers at 7p (hosting Toronto on November 25)
· Saturday, December 2 first home game against the Flyers, followed by road game in Philly the following Monday
· New Years' Eve hosting the Islanders at 6p (part of a weekend back-to-back starting with St. Louis)
· Tuesday, January 2 first home game against the Caps
· Valentines' Day hosting Florida
· 4 straight home games from February 18-25 (Kings, Islanders, Montreal & Philly)
· 8 home games in March (2 against Columbus)
· The other home game against the Caps on March 7
· Edmonton Oilers at 1p on Sunday, March 10
· Back-to-back weekend home games, Rangers 3p on March 16, Detroit on March 17 at 6p
· The season finale at the Islanders on April 17, but the previous three at home (Detroit, Boston, Nashville)
