PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – He’s third on the team in home runs (7) and RBI (29) and helped solidify the middle of the lineup, Sunday morning the Pirates put outfielder/first baseman Ryan O’Hearn on the 10-day injured list with a right quad strain.

Prior to leaving the game against Philadelphia in the third inning on Saturday, O’Hearn had scored five runs in the last three games with five hits, two homers and three runs batted in.


Overall in his first year with the Pirates, the left-handed hitter has played in 44 games with a .289 average, .368 on-base, .459 slugging and .827 OPS.

Outfielder Jake Mangum was reinstated from the injured list and takes O’Hearn’s roster spot. Also in his first year with the Pirates, Mangum has 19 hits in 73 at bats with a .333 on-base percentage with a pair of doubles and three RBI.
