Bye, Bye Bae, Pirates make several roster moves

33-year-old rookie Brady Feigl also DFA'ed after giving up 6 runs over 1.2 innings

It’s been an up and down year for infielder/outfielder Ji Hwan Bae and he’s going back to Triple-A to make room for the return of right-handed pitcher Jared Jones.

Bae was up and down throughout the season with a couple of trips on the injured list.

The 25-year-old was recalled a month ago from Triple-A Indianapolis. In his last 30 games, he hit .189 with an OBP of .247 and slugging .216.

RHP Carmen Mlodzinski was also reinstated from the 15-day injured list, along with Jones.

Lefty pitcher Brady Feigl has been DFA’ed by the Pirates. The 33-year-old

Feigl was 7-2 this season with a 3.83 ERA in Triple-A Indianapolis. He has 62 strikeouts over 33 innings.

In his MLB debut Monday night, Feigl gave up six earned runs over 1.2 innings, including seven hits, one of them a home run. He leaves the Pirates with an ERA of 32.40.

Jones makes his first start Tuesday night since going down with an injury on July 3.
