The Pirates have made several roster moves and the push into the final month of the season.
Henry Davis is coming back to Pittsburgh for his third stint with the Pirates after Joey Bart was injured during Sunday’s win against Cincinnati.
Davis has been hitting .302 since he was sent to Triple-A on July 7. He also has six home runs since then.
Bart was hurt Sunday when he was thrown out in the bottom of the first inning. He got an RBI on the play.
In addition, according to reports, outfielder Michael A. Taylor is being placed on waivers.
Taylor’s average is .196 with 20 RBI and four home runs with an OPS of .541 in 100 games.
The Pirates’ 2022 first-round draft pick Termarr Johnson is reportedly being promoted to Double-A Altoona from Greensboro.
Prior to Sunday’s game, the Pirates placed right-handed pitcher Hunter Stratton on the 60-day injured list with a left patella tendon rupture.
Taking Stratton’s spot on the roster is lefty Brady Feigl from Triple-A.
Feigl is 7-2 this season with a 3.83 ERA. He has 62 strikeouts over 33 innings.
Feigl is 33-years-old and this is his first trip to the Major Leagues.
