The Pirates are look for any good signs of hope after dropping seven straight and they may get it in the form of veteran leader Andrew McCutchen.
McCutchen, who has missed the past three games due to a rolled ankle during pre-game drills, is back in the lineup, batting third in the designated hitter spot.
Pirates General Manager Ben Cherington said during his weekly radio show on the Fan Sunday that the next 48 hours would determine how long he would be out.
Well after going through some mobility drills before the final game against the Toronto Blue Jays, Cutch is back in the lineup, healthy enough to at least DH.
McCutchen is currently batting .238 with six home runs and 15 RBI. He has 17 walks and 24 strike outs.
