The Pirates moved their biggest trade piece on Sunday, sending second baseman Adam Frazier to the San Diego Padres for three prospects.

Audacy baseball insider Jon Heyman says the Pirates are far from being done before the trade deadline.

Heyman says the Pirates are now turning their attention to pitchers Tyler Anderson, Richard Rodriguez and Chris Stratton.

Anderson is scheduled to pitch tomorrow at PNC Park when the Milwaukee Brewers come to town, but Heyman says he might not be on the mound when the game starts at 7:05.

"Anderson will surely go, perhaps even before tomorrow's start."

Anderson signed a one-year deal as a free agent in the offseason.

Anderson has gone 5-8 this season with a 4.35 ERA starting in 18 games. He struck out 86 batters and have pitched 103.1 innings.

With the trade deadline approaching (Friday at 4 p.m.) Rodriguez is another lock to be dealt.

Rodriguez started the year well with an ERA under .50 over his first 20 starts, but since has seen his ERA rise to 2.82.

As Fan Pirates Insider Jason Mackey of the Post-Gazette points out, Rich-Rod still has two more years of arbitration before he comes and unrestricted free agent in 2024.

Mackey also believes is possible outfielder Ben Gamel, pitcher Chasen Shreve, infielder Wilmer Difo or pitcher Chad Kuhl could also be dealt before Friday.

With all of the draft signings and players acquired in trades, Ben Cherington very well may have the best farm system in baseball on August 1.
