Paul Skenes and Livvy Dunne to join College Gameday at LSU

As Pittsburgh Pirates 2024 pitching sensation Paul Skenes continues to rack up pitching accolades, he and his girlfriend will make a stop on ESPN’s College Gameday to make some picks.

Skenes and social media influencer and star LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne will be the special guest picks when Gameday broadcasts from Baton Rouge Saturday.

Skenes also attended LSU and the Tigers are hosting rival Alabama in primetime Saturday evening.

Skenes played one year at LSU, helping the Tigers win the 2023 College World Series. Prior to that, Skenes was pitching at Air Force.

When Dunne wasn’t at PNC Park cheering on Skenes, she was helping the LSU women’s gymnastic team with the 2024 national championship.

The 22-year-old Skenes went 11-3 this year with 170 strikeouts over 133 innings pitched. He also dazzled with an ERA under 2.00 (1.96) and a 0.95 WHIP over his 23 starts.

He was selected earlier this week as Baseball Digest’s National League Rookie of the Year.

Skenes and Dunne join the rest of the College Gameday crew, including Plum native, Pat McAfee from 9 to noon on Saturday morning.
