The highlight of the Pirates 2026 promotional schedule was announced Friday, another Paul Skenes bobblehead.
This time the team is celebrating his Cy Young Award, the first by a Pirates player since Doug Drabek won it in 1990.
This past season, the line to get a Skenes bobblehead was all the way back across the Clemente Bridge.
The Cy Young Skenes bobblehead will be given away on Saturday, April 18 when the Pirates play the Tampa Bay Rays at PNC Park.
After running out of bobbleheads and promising to send them to fans that missed out that attended the game, the Pirates say every fan with a ticket to the game will get a bobblehead.
Skenes was dominant, leading baseball with a 1.97 ERA and the National League with a 0.95 WHIP. He was second in the NL with 216 strikeouts (a franchise record for right-handers) and fourth in batting average against (.199). His record was 10-10, but the Pirates scored 11 total runs for him in the 10 losses.
