The Pirates have added a minor league outfielder from the Braves in exchange for pitcher Hunter Stratton.
The Pirates have acquired Titus Dumitru and cash considerations from Atlanta for the RHP Stratton.
Dumitru, taken in the 16th round of last year's draft out of New Mexico State was batting .231 in High-A Rome this year.
He's 58-for-251 with nine doubles, two triples, three home runs, 36 RBI, 13 stolen bases and 27 runs scored over 64 games.
Stratton appeared in three games for the Pirates this season with a 23.63 ERA over three appearances.
In 2.2 innings, this season, Stratton gave up 10 hits and seven runs.
The Pirates have also announced RHP Colin Holderman's rehab assignment is moving from Low-A Bradenton to Triple-A Indianapolis.
