According to a new survey, the Pittsburgh Pirates have one of the worst home uniforms in the Majors.

Gambling site PlayUSA surveyed over 2,000 baseball fans across the United States, asking them to rate every pro team’s home uniform.

The top five teams in order are Chicago Cubs, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox and St. Louis Cardinals.

In the bottom five the Pirates game in 26th, followed by the Milwaukee Brewers, Sand Diego Padres, Seattle Mariners and Minnesota Twins.

While the teams like the Cubs and Yankees have basically had the same home uniforms for most of their existence, the Pirates also have classic and iconic jerseys.

Black and gold has been a fixture of all their home jerseys since 1948 when they replaced red and blue.

While the “Pirates” script has changed ever so slightly since then, it is still instantly recognizable.

With only 2,000 people being surveyed it’s hard to believe that is what a majority of fans feel.

The wrong people must’ve been surveyed because black and gold with that Pirates script should always be at least in the top 10.

The survey did not consider road or alternate jerseys.

Even more surprising the Pirates current primary “P” logo ranked third to last in popularity, with the Toronto Blue Jays grabbing the top spot.
