The Pittsburgh Pirates’ 2026 schedule has been released and the Bucs will, once again, begin the season on the road.
But, unlike the past two seasons, the Pirates won’t start in sunny Florida. They’ll open 2026 in New York against the Mets on March 26.
That is the earliest date the Pirates have ever started a regular season.
It is also the first time the Pirates have opened up a season against the Mets in 24 years.
The Pirates will then travel to Cincinnati for three games before opening PNC Park Friday, April 3 against the Baltimore Orioles.
They’ll wrap up the homestand with three games against the San Diego Padres from April 6-8.
Other highlights at PNC Park include the Tampa Bay Rays coming to PNC Park April 17-19, Philadelphia Phillies May 15-17, Minnesota Twins May 29-31, Los Angeles Dodgers June 9-11, Seattle Mariners June 23-25, Atlanta Braves July 7-9, A six game homestand against the Red Sox and Tigers August 14-19, another six games at PNC Park September 1-6 against the Giants and Angels.
The Pirates will wrap up the season with three games at PNC Park September 22-24 against the St. Louis Cardinals and then three games in Detroit September 25-27 against the Tigers.
