
According to Fan Pirates Insider Jason Mackey of the Post-Gazette, relief pitcher Clay Holmes is the next Pirates player to be traded.
Mackey says Holmes will head to the Yankees in exchange for two prospects.
The Pirates made the announcement official and say they have acquired infielders Hoy Jun Park and Diego Castillo.
Park is batting an East League high .327 for Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes Barre, the Yankees Triple-A team.
Castilo has played all year in Double-A Somerset, batting .277.
The 28-year-old Holmes is 3-2 this season with an ERA of 4.93.
He has pitched 42 innings in 2021 with 44 strikeouts, appearing in 44 games with a WHIP of 1.429.
