Report: Pirates calling up #4 prospect LHP Hunter Barco

According to MLB.com, the Pirates are calling up the organization's #4 prospect Hunter Barco.

The left-handed pitcher is expected to make his MLB debut before the season ends this weekend, reports Alex Stumpf.

Barco is the 82^nd overall prospect in baseball, according to MLB Pipeline.

The 24-year-old is 4-1 over 27 games (23 starts) across Double-A Altoona and Triple-A Indianapolis this season.

He has a 2.81 ERA with 116 strikeouts over 99.1 innings and a WHIP of 1.20.

The Pirates travel to Cincinnati for three games beginning Tuesday and wrap up the season in Atlanta this weekend.
