UPDATE: Pirates manager Derek Shelton has lower-back tightness and he isn't aware of any trip to the injured list.

Hopefully it’s not true, but the Pirates situation could be going from bad to worse.

After losing seven straight games, the Pirates will be without outfielder Bryan Reynolds on Tuesday against the Chicago Cubs and it could be for a while.

According to 93.7 The Fan’s Andrew Fillipponi, he is hearing that the former All-Star suffered an oblique injury and a source tells him he is heading to the injured list.

No confirmation from the Pirates on Reynolds’ injury and Post-Gazette beat writer Jason Mackey says they are trying to confirm the report.

Reynolds has produced the only two runs for the Pirates in the last two games, a two-run home run in Milwaukee on Sunday. The Pirates lost that game 5-2
