Some good news for Pirates fans. Pittsburgh Pirates Director of Sports Medicine Dr. Todd Tomczyk says there is a good chance short stop Oneil Cruz will return this season.
Cruz has been out since early in the season after he fractured his left ankle.
"He's feeling really good, moving a little bit more latterly with groundballs and he continues to play catch up to 120-150 feet," said Tomczyk.
"For me right now, as we're standing here, I think it's very high that he will play baseball this year," added Tomczyk.
He also said he doesn't know exactly when Cruz will return, if it will be late August or early September.
