PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – It’s all on defense and they are all starters, and all missed Steelers practice on Thursday.
It’s looking like getting Minkah Fitzpatrick back this week is not going to happen. Fitzpatrick unable to practice on Thursday. Usually players who haven’t practiced Wednesday or Thursday, they don’t play on Sunday especially if they’ve missed the week prior. Dealing with a hamstring injury suffered in the Jacksonville game, Minkah was unable to go.
Also missing, Steelers captain Cam Heyward. The 34-year-old just returned from a groin injury against the Titans. He and Mike Tomlin said he played more reps than they wanted him too. Heyward was limited on Wednesday and did not practice on Thursday.
Also limited on Wednesday and not practicing on Thursday, middle linebacker Elandon Roberts with a knee injury. Roberts expected to take a bigger role with the injury to Cole Holcumb.
Defensive tackle Montravius Adams hasn’t practiced this week due to an ankle injury, missing again on Thursday.
One more practice on Friday before hosting Green Bay Sunday.
