While we await the fate of JuJu Smith-Schuster, another Steelers wide receiver has signed with another team in free agency.

Multiple sources say that Ray-Ray McCloud has signed a two-year, $10 million deal with the San Francisco 49ers.

McCloud said he wanted to return to Pittsburgh, but last week, CBS Sport reported that at least six teams, including the 49ers were interested in him.

Taken by the Bills in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, McCloud played one season with Buffalo after being cut in 2019.

He spent time with the Carolina Panthers in the 2019 season before re-joining Buffalo on their practice squad.

After being waived by the Bills in 2020, McCloud signed with the Steelers in August and beat out Ryan Switzer as the Steeler punt and kick returner. He re-signed for a one year deal last season.

McCloud led the league in punt returns with 38 and yards with 367.

In 32 games with the Steelers, McCloud had 81 punt returns for 655 yards, averaging 9.5 yards and 63 kick returns for 1,422 yards.

He also was used as wide receiver with 39 receptions for 277 yards and zero touchdowns last season.
