PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Due to NFL rules of putting out a practice report starting four days before a game, the Steelers put together an ‘estimation’ of what practice would have looked like had they held one on the South Side on Tuesday.
As Mike Tomlin said during his news conference on Tuesday, quarterback Kenny Pickett has been cleared from concussion protocol and would have been a full participant. Also a full participant, tight end Pat Freiermuth, who missed most of the practices last week with a foot injury.
The Steelers would have ruled Terrell Edmunds hamstring bad enough that he would not have practiced, although Tomlin did not seem concerned that his safety, key in stopping the run, would miss Saturday night.
It appears linebacker Myles Jack will be ready to return on Saturday as he would have been limited coming back from his groin injury. Also simulated as limited-FB Derek Watt (ankle), RB Najee Harris (hip), WR Diontae Johnson (toe).
Steelers will hold a real practice on Wednesday and we should get some more clarification.
