Aiyuk says Niners 'don't want me back'

Throw another log onto the “Brandon Aiyuk to the Steelers” fire.

Multiple outlets posted a video on “X” Monday showing the San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Face Timing with rookie Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels “They said they don’t want me back. . . I swear.”

Aiyuk is in the 5^th-year of his rookie deal. The 49ers club option is worth over $14.1 million this season.

Hearing Aiyuk saying the Niners don’t want to extend him will only fuel more trade rumors around the star WR.

The Steelers have been connected to Aiyuk by some NFL insiders, but if he is traded to Pittsburgh, it will cost a pretty penny to sign him to an extension.

Back in April, The Fan’s Andrew Fillipponi said the Steelers “really like” Aiyuk.

Aiyuk had 75 catches last season for 1,342 yards with 7 touchdowns. He averaged 17.9 yards a carry, a career high.

He also went off on the Steelers in Week One of the 2023 season with eight catches for 129 yards and two touchdowns, torching Patrick Peterson for most of the game.
