The Steelers confirm that outside linebacker Alex Highsmith is not at mandated minicamp practice Wednesday, but for a good reason.
He’s sick.
After it was reported that Highsmith was not at practice, the Steelers shot down any rumors by announcing he has an illness
Steelers Senior Director of Communications Burt Lauten added Highsmith “will continue to be at the practice facility as he has been all offseason.”
The illness comes a day after fellow outside linebacker Nick Herbig was given a new four-year deal that will keep him in Pittsburgh.
