Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said during his weekly press conference on Tuesday that while quarterback Kenny Pickett is in the concussion protocol, “his work won’t be limited in anyway in preparation.”

“If he’s cleared to play, he’ll play,” added Tomlin.

But Pickett isn’t the only player dealing with an injury.

Six players were ruled out for Sunday’s victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, including safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Returner Steve Sims, who had and 89-yard return to begin the second half Sunday is dealing with a hamstring “that may slow him at the early portions of the week,” said Tomlin.

Other injuries:

James Daniels: ankle

Myles Jack: ankle

Mason Cole: foot/ankle

Larry Ogunjobi: knee

Tomlin says he’s expects those players to “show” as the week progresses.

Players that have been out, Tomlin expects those to return to practice early this week.

That includes cornerback Cam Sutton with a hamstring, Ahkello Witherspoon has missed the past couple games with a hamstring issue and Fitzpatrick was out on Sunday with a knee issue after he also came off a concussion the previous week.

Although they have yet to be cleared from the concussion protocol, Tomlin expects cornerback Levi Wallace and tight end Pat Freiermuth are both “scheduled to participate fully tomorrow,” said Tomlin.
