It was a scary sight for all Steelers fans on Sunday when they saw their star defensive player T.J. Watt go down in the final minutes of regular time.

Watt had come off the field saying the words “I tore my pec” and didn’t return to the game.

There has been a lot of speculation on how bad Watt’s injury really is, with many believing that season ending surgery was a real possibility for him.

A report has just came out that the tear won't require surgery and that T.J. should return to the field this season.

If he indeed doesn’t need surgery, depending on the way his pectoral tear heals and how well the physical therapy goes, sources say he could be back by the end of October.

We should get more solid verification of this report Tuesday and Wednesday as coach Tomlin is set to meet with media and the week 2 injury report comes out on those respective days.

Watt is still set to get more options on his injury, but it would be a huge boost to the team if he can return.
