PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Twice this season place kicker Chris Boswell accounted for the only points in Steelers wins, Wednesday he was honored as the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Boswell was six-for-six on field goals including a trio of 50-yarders against the Ravens. He's the only kicker to make six field goals at Acrisure Stadium in its history. Boswell was also six-for-six to open the season at Atlanta.
The 33-year-old leads the NFL with 29 made field goals. Boswell is 29 of 30 with his only miss coming from 62 yards and is perfect on extra points in 2024. Over his last two seasons he is 58 of 61 (15 of 17 from 50-plus). The former Rice kicker is second in Steelers history in scoring, 267 behind Gary Anderson.
