PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – According to several insiders, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is stepping away as the Steelers head coach.
The move comes minutes after locker room cleanout as players were discussing how much they enjoy played for him and what Tomlin has meant to them.
Tomlin ends his 19-year NFL career after a seventh consecutive playoff loss, 30-6 Monday night at home against the Texans.
Overall Tomlin was 193-114-2 in 19 years of regular season games, along with 8-12 in the postseason, including Super Bowl XLIII and AFC Championship in XLV. Tomlin and Chuck Noll are tied for tops among Steelers coaches in regular-season wins.
