PITTSBURGH (93.7 The FAN) – Former NFL quarterback Bruce Gradkowski joined Andrew Fillipponi on The PM Team for his weekly visit Wednesday, and shared his thoughts on where Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger ranks among AFC North quarterbacks.
Gradkowski is excited to see Roethlisberger play this year, but ranks him as the second-best quarterback in the division because he is coming off a series injury and has not played in a year.
That being said, he is confident the 17-year veteran will be productive as the underdog, playing with an elite defense backing him up.
Gradkowski ranks Baltimore Ravens star Lamar Jackson as the best signal caller in the division, followed by the Cleveland Browns’ Baker Mayfield and Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Burrow, respectively.
Gradkowski also picked the Steelers to win the division this season, and predicted they will defeat the Ravens twice on their way. Pittsburgh has not won the AFC North since 2017.
“I think the Steelers win the division,” he said. “With this defense the Steelers have, and then you’ve got Ben returning, I don’t think there’s a doubt.”
