Report: DK Metcalf knew Lions fan he got into altercation with

An NFL insider is shedding more light on the incident involving Steelers’ wide receiver DK Metcalf and a Lions fan in Detroit on Sunday.

According to NFL Network’s Toml Pelissero, Metcalf knew the fan that he was seen on video punching or shoving during the game, and “had a history” with the fan.

“Metcalf reported the same fan to Seahawks security last season while playing for Seattle sources say,” said Pelissero.

Pelissero adds the fan, identified as Ryan Kennedy by the Detroit Free Press, “called Metcalf’s mom a derogatory word and called Metcalf ‘something we both know you don’t call a black man’.”

The Fan reportedly claimed that Metcalf was upset that he called the Steelers star his legal, full name.

Former WR Chad Johnson, of the Nightcap Show, said that he talked with Metcalf.

The Steelers’ star alleges the fan called him the “N-word” and called his mom the “C-word.”

The NFL is investigating the incident.
