PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) Just four days after having previous domestic assault charges dropped, more charges were filed against Steelers’ offensive lineman Jarron Jones.

In a preliminary hearing on Tuesday, June 28, Jones had a pair of felony domestic assault charges dropped from an incident that occurred on Oct. 3.

During that incident, Jones allegedly strangled and and struck his girlfriend with a gaming console.

Jones still faces a simple assault charge from that incident with an arraignment scheduled for Aug. 16.

After the disposition, Jones was re-arrested and charged with three more offenses from an incident that occurred on Sept. 19.

According to the criminal complaint, Jones and his girlfriend got into a physical altercation at their home.

Police arrived responding to a 911 call from Jones’ girlfriend and defused the situation and left with no arrests or police action taken.

In the complaint, it is stated that after the police left, Jones struck his girlfriend, breaking her nose.

She also sprained her wrist while falling during the attack.

Jones allegedly dropped her off at UPMC Mercy before spending the night at the team hotel.

A preliminary hearing is set for July 27, and Jones could face action from the NFL regardless of court decision.
