LATROBE, PA (93.7 The Fan) – An undisclosed injury early in camp for the Steelers newest offensive weapon, tight end Jonnu Smith is day-to-day according to head coach Mike Tomlin after the opening workout on Thursday.

Smith had talked with reporters earlier in the day after morning work, saying how excited he was to play with Aaron Rodgers and reunite with Arthur Smith. Jonnu participated in early individual work but did not for the majority of the practice. Tomlin was not specific if it was heat related, as it was over 90 degrees in Latrobe during practice. He was around at the end of practice with no jersey watching drills.

Running back Cordarrelle Patterson has yet to participate in any workouts and was not spotted and was also called day-to-day with an undisclosed injury.

Tomlin announced on Wednesday that guard Isaac Seumalo would miss a bit of time with a soft tissue injury. He was at practice, but didn’t go with Spencer Anderson working in his place at left guard next to Broderick Jones.

Steelers will practice the next three days at 1:55p at St. Vincent College.
