PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – He has 3.5 sacks against Joe Burrow in their last two meetings, progress for Steelers linebacker Alex Highsmith as he is working for a return against the Bengals on Sunday.

Highsmith went through a limited practice on Thursday, his first work at that level since his ankle injury. Earlier in the season the 27-year-old missed some time, and much of training camp, with a hamstring injury.

A pair working back from Injured Reserve were also limited on Thursday. Defensive lineman Montravius Adams has been key with his ability to play the middle and outside. Corner Cory Trice has only played three games in two seasons because of injury, but they believe he has a high ceiling. Defensive lineman Keeanu Benton was also limited, first time he's missed with a hip injury.

Two did not practice, safety Damontae Kazee is sick and defensive tackle Cam Heyward was given a day off for rest.
