A favorite of the Arthur Smith offense has been released by the Atlanta Falcons, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Falcons are releasing tight end Jonnu Smith.
The move frees up $6.5 million in cap space for the Falcons heading into free agency.
Smith had 50 catches for 582 yards and three touchdowns last season.
Smith the player was with Smith the offensive coordinator/head coach first in Tennessee from 2017-2020 then last season with Atlanta.
