PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Broderick Jones said he screwed up last week, Mike Tomlin said Tuesday he is going to give him another chance. That chance could come on Sunday as Jones said Steelers starting right tackle Troy Fautanu 'had a little tweak' during practice Friday.

"We don't know what his status is going to be," Jones said. "I filled in for him. We are just going to roll from there after he gets his MRI and stuff. We will just figure out what is going to happen from there."

"The coaches are going to make the decision at the end of the day. We got two days, he's got a day break to rest whatever it is. I really don't even know what happened to him."

Fautanu sprained his MCL during the first preseason game and just returned for his first NFL start at Denver. The 2024 first-round pick had been a full participant the other two practices of the week.

Jones said he's been in this situation before. He feels that he's improved this week in practice. He would just need to get out there and do it if his name is called.

So that chance that Tomlin gave him to rebound might be against the Chargers.

"I really don't care what people think," Jones said. "At the end of the day, I got to go out there and do my job to the best of my ability."
